Mary Black plays Páirc Festival on Saturday 26th August, taking place on the outdoor grounds of The New Irish Centre, Birmingham.
We are thrilled to announce our Saturday headliner, the iconic Mary Black! The biggest celebration of UK music and culture in the UK just got bigger!
Mary Black will play Páirc Festival on Saturday 26th August. She will be joining a Saturday line up that includes Van Morrison, Derek Ryan, All Folk’d Up, Mary Coughlan, The Father Teds, Danny Darcy, Cairde and Bang on the Ear.
Mary is an Irish national treasure and for good reason. Born in Dublin to a musical family, Mary began singing at age eight going on to perform with her siblings in bars as a teenager. In 1982, Mary released her first album, “Mary Black”. The record went gold and is widely considered one of the best Irish albums of the 1980s. She followed this with further success and critical acclaim, including going multi-platinum with her album “By the Time it Gets Dark”, covering Billboard magazine and solidifying her position as one of Ireland’s biggest and most beloved voices.
Páirc can’t wait to see Mary Black come to Birmingham and take to the stage over the August Bank Holiday Weekend!
